About us

History of ICGC Holy Ghost Chapel - Worcester Ma

The International Central Gospel Church Worcester Ma also designated as the Holy Ghost Chapel is an Evangelical, Charismatic Christian Church. It was officially inaugurated as a church on January 6, 2002 in Worcester, Ma USA. Prior to the official inauguration, the first meeting was held at the basement of Rev. and Mrs Nana Danquah of ICGC Rhode Island. Later it was moved to hotels and school halls, with an initial membership of just about twenty people. We give glory to God since we still have some old pioneers with us today in the persons of Deaconess Mrs. Rebecca Asare-Larbi and brother Emmanuel Asante.

After a couple of years, our powerful prayer ministry coupled with intense praise and worship grew our membership to about one hundred (100) adults in regular attendance.

In 2002, under the leadership of Rev. Emmanuel Owusu- Kyereko and pioneers, namely Rev. Dr. Charles Aye-Addo, Rev. Nana Danquah and Rev. Agyapong, the Church was officially inaugurated and incorporated with the state of Massachusetts as a legal entity.

In that same year the church settled in our own building located at 52 Harlem Street, Worcester Ma 01610 which is now designated as Holy Ghost Chapel. By the grace of God, and under the leadership of the pioneers the church has planted three other churches out of the original congregation in the Worcester county. To God be all the glory as we remember and record our small beginnings and how far God has brought us.

The International Central Gospel Church is a socially conscious Christian church which upholds the philosophy of Human dignity and Excellence. It engages in promoting and staging events whose impact have reached to the depths of society and brought Christ to the doorsteps of the people. Many years have come and gone since those early days. Today the story is different but the vision is still the same. The intense passion for soul winning that fueled the ministry from the onset of Holy Ghost Chapel is ever so alive today.

Pastor Adu Aboagye is the resident senior pastor supported by Associate Pastor Samuel Colecraft and Pastor Jonathan Baffoe.

The history of Holy Ghost Chapel Worcester Ma is still being written and until the Lord comes the vision will not change. To God be the glory and may His will be done in the existence of International Central Gospel Churches all over the world.
